Texan Corpus is a mixed-medium textile sculpture, featuring imagery from Corpus Christi TX, and the surrounding area with the blue side being a city skyline from a pier looking toward the USS Lexington, and the red side is a privately owned oil rig, placed in a field, and the green top side has a hand stitched star with representing the states flag, and a horse ranch. This piece was created without the aid of a pattern, and fun and challenging to create as I worked out how to sew together such a large piece. As a result of its size, there is a combination of hand-stitched and machine-sewn sections. Each of the main sides has an image that is reminiscent of the time during which I called Corpus Christi, TX home.
